Remember when the HTTYD 3 poster first came out and everyone was defending the Light Fury’s design by saying she was semi-aquatic and people were making art of her with shark teeth and mermaid tails and stuff but then the actual trailer was released and it destroyed a lot of those theories? And as more and more info was released it became obvious that she wasn’t aquatic at all?
Good times.
Anyway here’s a headshot of Sparklefish, she was my first Light Fury redesign and she’s based on the idea of the Light Fury actually being aquatic. I call her species the Siren Fury and their sparkly markings actually serve a purpose by helping them lure in prey.
