"...can't find any way out..."

The Dragons of hannaly don't really die, they get transported to a diferent plane when they are "killed". In this plane they got two choices, grab the enough strenght to come back or stay there and rott till the end of times. There lies Slath, Our keeper dragon, killed by my beloved Jillian. There he stood who knows for how long, till he found the courage inside to keep on. And stood up with pride of the living on a deserted place.

I guess thats why Jillian wanted to end her existence till she found her mouse.
