Hubris, it had been a while since i last illustrated him, so i thought a revamp was in order.

I used one of the bow designed i had done previously and just painted a bit here and there.
The character surprisingly (not) didn't come out quite as i expected, not beause of the concept but because of more technical aspects, aka painting style, not quite satisfied with it yet and i need some tweaks. Don't we all?

there is some of his background story and how he came to be and meet Éron and the rest of the gang. He tells more and there a whole lot more of coincidences/intertwined story lines, that is something i thought previously to writing my book, all the storyline have something in common, one element that brings them together, but i made it subtle so that only the more curious reader would figure out.

here's a small synopsis, i promised this a long time ago, no one knew who Hubris was until now so have fun

"Hubris was once a light elf. Like so many other of his kind he lived on the elven city of Eldamidri and he was devoted to his father and his mother. He was young, very young when the extermination squads of king Etalleh stromed through the city vanquishing all in it's path, Hubris saw his loved ones and his fellow elves be slaughtered at the hands of the soldiers, there was nothing he could have done to protect them, neither could they.
After the attack he thought his life had no meaning, so he tried taking his life, but he failed, no warrior could defeat him in battle, no cliff was too tall to take his life away so he ran, he ran far far away to the north, and eventually he reached the Dark Elven city of Ivyster, just north of the Elven capital (not Eldamidri) he ventured off inside the mountain driven by sorrow and eventually his skin turned grey and dark, he learned from the Dark Elven and on day he knew there was something he should do, there was something inside him that needed freedom, the sorrow and pain he felt needed to be wiped, so one night he dare to steal the bow of splendor from the dark elven and like before he ran. He went from siege to siege looking for someone worthy of taking his life, looking for someone worthy to also make him want to live, he searched for a meaning."

i might upload some school work or same pages from my sketchbook tomorrow or monday, busy busy busy, trying not to rust digital wise
