nightmarekitty — Tavros plushie

Description ...Because seriously, this guy is one of my two favorite fictional characters right now (the other one who I will probably make a plushie of in the near future). How could I NOT make this plushie?

This is all handsewn, and based on the Baby London Star Moogle Pattern found here: [link] The clothes and horns and hair and all other things Tavros-specific I made myself... some of it I actually have pieces for, while other things (namely the hair...) were done completely freehand.

This is easily the biggest plushie I've made, and almost certainly the most complicated.

As crazy as I am, however, I wasn't even going to attempt a plush wheelchair. So you can either interpret this as being Tavros pre-FLARPING incident or simply Tavros sans-wheelchair.

Tavros is from Homestuck, created by Andrew Hussie.

you know, there have been alot of times where i`ve looked for a plush of my fave characters and the plush either looked bad or creepy as hell, but at last i have found a tavros plush that is adorible beond beleif! If you start selling these let me know! i would love one!!!!

It's a lot like attaching the arms of a plushie, actually. It's a bit hard to explain in words, but it works like this: you have the two outside pieces of the plushie head facing against each other as you sew up the head, and between them, you sandwich the horn in when it comes to the place on the head where it belongs. You sew one side of the horn to one side of the head, and same with the other sides of both, and then continue on sewing the two pieces of the head together around both sides of the horn. This is probably not very coherent, but I hope it gives you some idea.

No, I don't make plushies. I've thought about learning how, but I usually don't have the time. I have a friend who does, though, so I'm sure I could get her to teach me, when I can actually find the time to do it.

Thanks! This took about... 3 weeks or so. Maybe a little more. As far as constant work goes, it was probably more like a week or two, but it got spread out over a while. Sorry for the delay in my reply!
