Mayurika is a biomodified Pony. Biologically, she is half Pegasus and half Earth Pony. She did not want to be confined by her genetics or her cutie mark (so she had it magically erased). Although the bioluminescence coming off of her is not a permanent effect, it does occur when she is well rested or having strong emotions.

She is an advocate for biomodification and cutie mark erasure, but does not push either on any creature.

She is a popular choice for fashion lines to use as a photographic model as she does catch the eye.
