Description 10x15" acrylic; 'Clouds': This one was another of those unplanned pieces, as with 'Library Amorphous' I started with a middle toned grey background and worked in lighter and lighter values. As I just kind of went with this one, I can't fully explain what it is about. I think it has the similar 'astral' feel that my prior pieces do, and I think I was looking to diversify the architecture to suggest how the idea of buildings and structures might be redefined on another plane of existence.

Your acrylic technique is really interesting! At first sight I thought you used pencils. The shades are exquisitely done and the subject is intriguing. I love the flying man that seems to me like he is transported by the stream of his dreams (or nightmares). The architecture of the tower is also very appealing.

Thank you, Matteo! In my mind, that's exactly what he's doing- lucid dreaming or astral projection, so he's exploring his subconscious or some other world via his dream state.

Thanks, James, I appreciate it. I felt that breaking some of my usual rules of painting logic would helpe make it look otherworldy.
