Nightmareishly beautiful, however I'm not sure I like the background scarecrow. It seems to be a copy of the foreground one.

Totally different again than your other work, but it is fun to try some new things. I like this piece although it has a sad feeling. I could be a cover to a Steven King book or something!

Wicked piece Marion! Love the dark undertones here, beautifully enhanced with the canvas texture and burning in of the edges.

ah this is quite lovely ... best I've seen canvasy texturing used like that in a long while

love the colours, love the doll, love the subtle depth and how it integrates surprisingly well with the texturing overlay

Interesting moody piece! But why is there no canvas texture on the doll?

ZirTuan [2003-09-25 04:59:24 +0000 UTC]

Cute.

The whole thought of the doll sitting on the shoulder of the scarecrow, gives off the moment when a child left their favorite friend behind. A subconcious thing to do, to say good bye to old friend, as the child grow they find someone else.

Good work on the manipulation. Just that the far distant scarecrow is it transparent or just slightly lighter then the foreground one? If it's in slightly different tone, which gives its depth, then I think it should not be transparent. Unless its a ghost form of scarecrow...

This looks great love the color scheme and that hard texture applied to it, (it does kind of remind you of jeepers creepers) really like how you placed that little doll,

Fascinating...

A rather dark piece...something I'd kinda expect to see on the cover of a Stephen King novel or somesuch.

Excellent for this time of year, and great for Hallowe'en.

Cool.

Yeeh, you got to get full view to get a load of this one. What makes these scarecrows doubly scary are the pieces that make them seem to be remnants of something that once lived. Makes for a surreal (yes, I know cliche comment) piece...but it happily dances the line between disturbing dream and detailed reality. Not sure what to say with the doll...but somehow it completes it and gives that touch it needed to go from an average photomanip to a really wonderful piece of artwork.

Woah this is amazing work!

The textures, the colours, and that doll! Your composition and layering is as exquisit as your choice of tons and textures, and that doll just works so well as a focal point of sorts. Amazing work, not exactly what i was expecting rom you nighty, butthen i have been backpacking for the last 3 months so things change eh

Great stuff!!
