wow...this is so beautiful!! the way that the white tulips stand out against the dark background is great. I get some kind of peaceful death vibe from this, no idea why though. Just curious, did you do any editing on this one?

nope no editing on this one it's a straight scan.
Only thing I did to it was removing some dust spots.

Beautiful, and very expressive! I love the contrast in textures between the soft delicate petals and the rock behind them. I also love the arrangement of the flowers, how they're not symmetrical. Very lovely! Gorgeous work!

Mhmmm...nice... Are the flowers laying on...a rock? Or a tree trunk? Yeah, a tree trunk, maybe. Interesting texture, it contrasts nicely with the smoothness of the flowers.
Just a pity it isn't perfectly symmetrical there on the right... *nods*

i love the charcoal drawing quality of it.
the delicate stems and flowers against the dark, stoney
background serves to enhance the contrast going on
with the black and white.
did you manip the background in nighty? or did you create
this setting?
i'm wondering now.

The image is a straight scan from the negative, the only thing I did was to remove
some dust spots.

It's somehow strange to see tulips in black and white, but it really forces you to take in their wonderful shape. The composition really makes this one. So elegant.
