long time since i made Eragon fanart again

So as you can see: Saphira and Thorn in an epic battle in the air I focused my attention on the dragons so the riders don't really look like much anyhoo, yes, i drew those birdlike wings cause... well i like them ^^ i think they make sense and seem anatomically correct so why not? I really like the way they turned since it's one of my first decent attempts at flying dragons and you know what... feathers are complicated xD

And the background is kinda simple but you know... burning plains... not really much of a background is it

the REAL dragons ( book covers) have leathery wings... NOT bird wings!

I am well aware. I read the story. My point, in this comment I wrote over a year ago, was that I am irritated when people draw Saphira with bird wings, and Thorn with "bat" wings, since, being the same species, they should have the same wing style. That was what I was trying to get across. Not that the bird wings were good, or canon, because they aren't, but that them having the same wings was good. Understood?

actually in the book she has bat-like wings and yes in the movie she has scaly wings --> which look like bird wings ^^ my drawing just isn't detailed enough

Btw... I love the birdlike wings too. I like them better then the bat wings dragons is "supposed" to have (they don't really exists, so who can say what is wrong and right! lol)
