Description "Nikki did you add shadows in the lineart just so you could avoid shading this?"

W-what? OF COURSE NOT! How could you accuse me of such a thing...GO DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

Just some much-needed practice drawing scenes with actual environments and not stripes or random patterns. DX The scrawny figures in the distance are my OCs, Blake and Warren. I think the last few drawings I added here were random characters and fanart. So I was overdue for a picture of my characters. 8D

This is nice - the color / line weighting / level of detail would make for a great looking comic if all the panels looked like this.

A bit of advice on the perspective -- the guy leaning against the door, trace a line from his feet to the base of the wall directly behind him (in perspective along the floor) then trace that line up the wall from that point. Does it meet with his spine against the wall?
Keep an eye out for the placement of characters in a scene relative to their surrounding (scale) objects. At his current position, he appears to only be about half as tall as the door. If you rotate him a little (and I mean a LITTLE) counter clockwise to make his back flatter against the door, and move him up a little bit to pull him out from the floor-boards, he'd "fit" in the scene a whole lot more realistically. (You'd know when you get it right by tracing that same line from his feet, to the wall, then up the wall again. If it lines up with his spine, you're spot-on.)

Thank you! This was partly me figuring out how I'd like my comic to look, which I think I left out of the description, but that makes me even more grateful you thought of comics when you saw it. Placing characters in scenes is sort of a challenge for me, moreso than just drawing perspective, haha. Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely be using it from now on.

I really like the distinction between foreground and background. And the composition. I like that too. :>

Thank you! It took me a while to figure out how show the difference in foreground and background. I'm glad it actually worked out. XD
