This is my entry for the August coloring contest.The lines were done by
I got the background from .
I used Photoshop CS2 with the pen tool for the beautiful hair, since I don't have a tablet. I also used the burn and dodge tools a lot, and then smudged it up to make it look more natural.
I spent like all day on this, it took so long. I can't believe I was patient enough to finish it.

Okay so I thought I could make the maiden a charcter from a series of books that I like a lot. She is supposed to be Alanna the Lioness from Tamora Pierce's The Song of the Lioness Quartet.

I am open to any feedback. If you have any suggestions on how I could have colored the lines to look more realistic or something, feel free to comment.

I really really loveeee the coloring on this. My only issue is the background; it takes away the awesomness. I would've just left it plain. ^^

Thanks so much my wonderful sister. The reason why I had the glowy purple is because in previous color contests the entries that stood out were ones that had way cool lighting effects. I was thinking I might have a good probability of getting like an honorable mention, but then I went to =manic-goose 's lineart page, and saw all the other entries. Some of them are just so amazing I can't compete. I love you Heidi!

Nice title, and great colors, so vibrant. I really like her hair in this, it really jumps out and the touch of make up is nice too.

Thanks so much, I did it on purpose. When I first colored it the hair was a nice color, but I was like, her hair should be brighter, so I messed with the hue and saturation to make is brighter and more reddish.
