Ok so anyone who has read Ultimate Origins will recognize this cover. I found it on the Comic Art Community website, which is a great place for inspiration. Any how, I really wanted to colour it so I took a shot at it.It was actually a pencilled piece which I darken, but areas of tone still remained. These tones help in the colouring process, but didn't by any means make it easier to colour this.
Really wish I could give the penciller credit, I'll update soon when I find the pencillers name.
Coloured this in Photoshop CS4 and took me about 3 hours.

EDIT: Ok so I said I would update this with the penciller's name, and here it is Gabriele Dell'Otto. A wonderful artist and it was a pleasure to colour his piece.

the penciller is the italian bad-ass painter Gabriele Dell'Otto(he made the covers for Secret Invasion and he illustrated Secret War)

I'm loving the heavy, dark colors. Contrast well with the mist and background.
