Adorable bby maknae I can't believe you're so grown up now

Yes, so. This was the secret project I was working on (that I never even hinted at so hehehe)~! It took me 5 WEEKS off and on to finish, mostly because I kept getting frustrated when doing his eyes. ;-;

I legit cannot do realism right. I challenged myself to paint like I would on a real canvas, so I only used 1 layer in the end. OH GOD WHY DID I DO THAT IT WAS SO STUPID OF ME asjdfall;k,;lska;lfka All in all, the hair was pretty easy (if a bit time-consuming). It's just... the eyes... QQ

I used this picture for reference: [link] (The colors were a bit saturated, so I used a different pallete).

This is the first realistic portrait of ANYONE I've EVER done, so please be gentle in your criticisms. ;u;

Time: ~30 hours
Tools: Paint Tool SAI + Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet

I'm not a huge fan of realism, but THIS......THIS IS AMAZING!!!!
sldkjfkdsjfdf I WISH I could draw like this!!! I'd be so happy, I'd draw my biases all day long!

Yes, it's my first attempt at realism. ;v; I've always wanted to draw realistic people but I couldn't really find anyone I loved enough to draw (before I got into kpop), y'know what I mean? There's so much work you have to put into a painting of someone so it's hard to finish a picture like this unless you really love your subject (well, in my case at least OTL)

GAH I'm choked up. Thank you!!! (y ; w; )y I'll keep working really hard and paint more of my biases!!

First off, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Taemin is such an angel~~

Secondly, this was the first time I left a piece and came back to it later, which is a big deal for me because I always end up rushing through my drawings "OTL It was hard also because I was only using one layer, so if I saved it and went back, that was there for good. Basically... practice makes perfect? asjkdfa;lfkl lol thank you so much though
