Description
This is a portrait commission for a Quarter Horse breeder. It features 3 generations. The owner had asked me to portray the chestnut mare and foal, and I was in the process of planning the piece when their mother and grandmother, respectively, died suddenly and unexpectedly, and so I was asked to do her portrait as well. The original was very big, 80cm X 80cm. I think I had the most fun painting the foal.
