Thanks. I started with mudbox, I used to hate zbrush for its unintuitive interface. Then I saw so many features that zbrush had that mudbox didnt, I made the switch. I used to make a low poly shape in 3ds max then imported it into zbrush to add details, and I fell in love

I hate still the interface but its really awesome software but when i make a basemesh.. of a sword in 3ds max and then i import it to the Zbrush.. so i need id to  have it really really high poly to make some good looking scuplt and thats my biggest problem :/

make sure you have edge loops where you want shape edges, that way when you smooth it in zbrush or 3ds max, it maintains the sharpness.

And what brushes you use on details on guns or on sword ?

for scratches, you can use the slash 3 brush, for rusty and bumpy surface, try some metal alpha with the default brush set to drag rect. Big dents can be craved with clay or claytube. Play around and see what they can do.

Nice folds the only thing that sticks out are the knees. The folds seem too extreme there. I'm looking forward to the final result
