Description
Lenny walked down the streets along with the bear cub twins following behind til they came by a cement wall.

"Um, we liked your Yellow Submarine model." Snooze spoke sweetly.

"Thanks," Lenny sighed, "It took me many weeks to get it all done, I just can't believe that it's the same time every day at school, we're just too young to know those math problems the teacher gives us, I don't see why the others get the easy ones, it's not fair!"

"Not to mention all we get is green beans in the cafeteria." Grumpo muttered making a gross face.

"Well," Snooze figured, "this life can’t get any worst, can it?"

BOOM, Then came a clap of thunder and then it started to rain. "Obviously it can." Grumpo grumbled.

Suddenly, a van came by with Brud and his gang of bullies and one of the guys put his head out the window and shouted, "HERE, TAKE THAT!!" he threw a bucket of yellow paint at Lenny and the bears.

They dodged it and the paint bucket hit the wall smashing open and splattering paint everywhere.

Brud laughed from the driver’s window, "How’s that for sunshine, Twerps?" he shouted. His gang laughed as the van drove away.

Lenny and the bear twins saw that most of the paint made a huge yellow spot on the wall and Grumpo growled, "We're starting to think you’re right, Lenny, bullies really ARE nothing but goblins!!"

"Oh, that's just great," Lenny complained, some of the yellow paint got all over his old brown backpack. He looked hard at it, "First I’m late again, and we went through some bad time with the math problems again, then my Yellow submarine model got ruined and now this!"

"Boy, Lenny," Grumpo said, "you would sure be wishing for a place that never involves bullies!"

"Yeah,"Snooze agreed, "you always say stuff like that."

"Well, it’s just that my life was filled with nothing but misery here ever since I got adopted last year," Lenny muttered, "even all I get is salad for dinner (yuk)."

"Yeah, us too," said Grumpo, "but did you ever try sneaking into the fridge for a late night snack? We sometimes do that to make our appetites feel better."

"Well," Lenny remembered," I thought about sneaking a cupcake, but Swifta caught me trying to take one and she yelled at me that I can't have any, because they were for her slumber party."

"Yeah," Grumpo sighed, "and it’s always girls only at those parties."

"Well," Snooze told, "to get back to the word OTHER PLACES, the news said that there was this unknown planet far away from here and beyond the planet Pluto and it had an enormous shield around it and last week another military spaceship took off over there, and none of those men returned at all."

"What do you suppose happened to them?"Grumpo asked.

"Well," Snooze replied, "the news said that there was a distress call about an attack with some strange looking alien ships shaped just like giant gargoyles."

"That is weird," Lenny thought, "how many times has it happen?"

"About once a year," Snooze answered, "and it's been eight years, so it's happened eight times."

"Oh by the way," Lenny asked, "the teacher said something about Happy Tree Friends, what’s that?"

"Well, it’s some kind of TV show," answered Grumpo, "but you might not like it, 'cause it’s a little gruesome."

"But speaking of the word happy," Snooze told, "I heard that there’s a new amusement park somewhere close by town!"

"Really?!" Lenny brightened up.

"And you're not going to believe the rides they have," Snooze smiled,"they even have a petting zoo since I know you like animals!"

"That sounds awesome." Lenny said excitedly.

"And tomorrow night's the grand opening," Grumpo encouraged him with his mouth watering, "not to mention the snack bars, you wanna go there tomorrow night?"

Lenny thought for a moment, "I...uh-would sure like to, but my step-family won’t let me stay out after dark."

"That's probably because nobody wants to see you as a freak." said a teenage girl’s voice.

The lamb and bear cubs looked up to see Jenny the teenage robot hovering over the wall with her jet boots on along with a big umbrella sticking out of her head.

"Aww, Jenny," complained Lenny, "I never see anyone treating you or Swifta as a freak!"

"That’s because she and I keep saving the world from the Cluster." Jenny answered.

"But you and Swifta always make good adventures around Earth," Lenny complained again, "I never get to have any, I never even been outside of Ohio!"

"It’s a much more crueler world out there, Lamb Boy," Jenny pouted, "you’ll just have to get used to this til you’re much more grown up like your stepsister and stepbrother.....and besides, tomorrow's a school night, school is more important than parks, ta-ta." Then she turned on her jet boots and flew off in the rain.

Lenny and the twins watched as she was gone. "Well, that’s a bummer." Grumpo figured, "....unless we can try and sneak out."

"Nah, they might call the police and I’ll get arrested again," Lenny disagreed, "look guys, I had a rough day, so I’ll see you both tomorrow."

"Okay." Grumpo sighed.

"Goodnight, Lenny." said Snooze when they came to a corner of the sidewalk.

The bear twins turned left on the corner as the lamb split from them by crossing the street.
