FINALLY art judging is done and I can submit this thing somewhere. Non-creative title because I'm not feeling up to it... (This didn't even place 3rd given I spent 15 hours [including an all-nighter] on this, and after various other letdowns earlier in the day, I'm feeling rather upset right now...)Maybe writing out the good of this piece will help me calm down...
- This is the first real painting I've done in a very long time
- I've definitely learned a lot about lighting and such while painting this
- That brush I used in Β the hair actually makes pretty competent-looking strands
- Those are the best foreshortened hands I've done in a while (but I used a LOT of help on that...)
- ... I can't think of anything else positive... At least that lump in my throat is gone now. :/

Aww, thanks. (That's the purest positive I've seen so far XD Reddit is all like "I like the low effort bits" (granted, they might not have known that).)
Sure took a long time though. I need to get faster.

Maybe they didn't know what to say. It is easy to see the effort you put into it. Although it took longer than you would've wanted it to, the more time spent on a work of art allows you to paint more with your heart and spirit... if that makes sense. (Dealing with a sinus infection, plus the antibiotics are causing a lot of pain so sometimes I don't understand what I'm trying to say. XD)
