Decided to colour my last sketch of Moana just to test how it would like if it were done in 2d!Feel free to share!!

Honestly, this artwork is too beautiful to notice its supposed flaws. Meh. Nippy, why did you want a critique? ;v; Okay...here goes... (1) the portion of her eyebrows that are near the innermost corners of her eyes, are different shapes; her right eyebrow goes straight down, whereas her left eyebrow has a 45° angle to it. Is it noticeable? No? Told you. ^v^ While we're on the subject of brows, (2) the arch and tail of her right eyebrow are slightly higher than the left. What exactly makes 3D inherentlyΒ inferior to Traditional, anyway? Even traditional animation is done digitally nowadays.

It's a personal taste when it comes to Disney films.Β Β Β Toy Story was a nice innovation and the many Pixar's that followed.
However.Β Β Β A story like Moana should be traditional in my opinion.Β Β Not claiming a superiority or inferiority.Β Β Β Rapunzel was okay as a 3d film because of how it was produced.Β Β
But Moana I feel falls in the classical area with the others and should shine like The Little Mermaid,Β and Beauty and the Beast....not another How to Train your Dragon garbage.Β
Just a personal preference.

They originally even said it would be 2.5D like the Paperman shortfilm. I still wonder why they had a change of plans.
