im not sure since who would since mewtwo was a clone and is like a hacker on CS but arceus was able to kick 3 legend pokemon asses.

Mewtwo's psychic powers and abilities are quite devastating, he can deflect Arceus attacks back at him, but Arceus can change into any other type to either negate or lower the damage of Mewtwos attacks, add that in the movie Jewel of Life he was putting a serious beatdown on Giratina, Palkia and Dialga despite lacking 5 of his plates. In my opinion Arceus 55%, Mewtwo 45%.

Pff For me Mewtwo always wins because he ih Mewtwo. Eve if Arceus is older Mewtwo was first in games. An in 5gen he has his signature attack. and he has deeper chara (in movies/specials)

I say Mewtwo would win, but that's just my bias about him being my fav Pokemon XD
Not gunna lie, I think the whole 'Arceus being creator of the universe' thing is SO god-modding. Mewtwo was the most powerful FIRST, so HA! XD

From a competitive battling standpoint, it depends on the Arceus.

Any Arceus without Spooky Plate is most likely gonna be raped up the butt by Mewtwo. So really, 16/17 times, Mewtwo wins.

And really, the game directors never confirmed that Arceus created the world, they only put bits of books with legends that "claim Arceus created the Universe" or even the pokedex says "IT IS SAID that it used it's 1000 arms" or something like that. Mewtwo on the other hand, has legit unbiased records by humans themselves; none of this legend mumbo jumbo. Mewtwo keeps it real.

I like this deviation anyway. Very rarely do you not see a silly "Mewtwo vs. Lucario" thing. This Mewtwo vs. Arceus concept is a nice change (honestly though, Mewtwo vs. Deoxys would be much more of an entertaining match up). In fact, it would be great to see another epic work of Mewtwo vs. Deoxys. I remember seeing one work of the two in combat, and it looked pretty awesome.

Well, it depends on how you raised your Pokemon.

For 1 VS 1...
Arceus @ Dread Plate can hope to god that Mewtwo's not packing Aura Sphere (though no idiot would leave Mewtwo without Aura Sphere).

So let's try this instead: Arceus @ Spooky Plate (Gentle, 252 Sp.Atk 252 Sp. Def, 4 HP) VS Mewtwo @ Choice Specs (Timid, 252 Speed 252 SpAtk, 4 HP)
With that SpDef, Arceus can survive one Shadow Ball, even from Specs Mewtwo. From what I've tested, anyway. After surviving the Shadow Ball from Specs Mewtwo, Ghost!Arceus can throw back his own Ghost-type 100 Base Power STAB Judgment, which has a decent chance of OHKOing Mewtwo. And if he does survive, smack whatever's left over with ExtremeSpeed.

There you go. ...in my opinion, of course.
