thanks - (: A good stock is vitally important, though right now I'm trying to get the hang of painting from real stuff, it's funny how one can always sense the difference between pictures painted from photos and pictures painted from living persons/things you got at hand.

The skin effects look great, really. But I think they look better in small size like on your front page, the deviation itself is maybe too big.

yeah perhaps you're right, the messed up hand doesn't stick out that much when it's viewed in a smaller size.
But I'm actually ok with the full size view, I'm glad so many people like it even if the hand is total crap and the whole thing is just copied and really old.

Beautiful work, I really like the use of warm versus cool color to guide the eye through the image as well as show form.
I think you could have gotten away with saying it's not sexual (even though the viewers would know better) and had it on your front page?

At some point those were the things I tried to achieve painting that one.
But at some other...I really liked using just those colors at that time. I used them in a lot of watercolors, this one only came out the best.
