Not really by subject, but by length yunno? The holy bible and the quran are agonizingly long. :l

QAQ Gesicht!! My heart broke during this scene....
Anyways, very nice drawing! I like the composition of it a lot, and the way Gesicht's face is shadowed makes me feel sad ;n;

Thanks very much!
Gesicht always makes me feel sad every time I read the manga 'cause I know what's going to happen to him. OH THE DRAMATIC IRONY ._.

THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE PLUTO FAN ART.
Man, I love this. Especially that little fallen petal next to his foot....right before Ali blows a hole through him.

Thanks! It's one of the non-cover images that pop up when googling "Pluto-Urasawa."

I know! That's what I love about itβit's just so well done, sad and serious but with a tender touch to it. Of course, that seems to be a signature of anything done by Naoki Urasawa, though even his Monster suffers from the occasional nonsensical pairing. Oh well.
Epsilon is just a guy with long hair. I don't know what the mangareader translators were thinking when they referred to him as "she" for a couple of pages, but the print translations have no such error.

Yes! I'm reading Monster now, and it's extraordinary. MUCH darker than Pluto, but it has the same sense of pacing and mystery.

Ohh that's good to hear. I've always been a fan of the pacing in Pluto (among other things); things happen when it needs to and it doesn't drag on. That said, it's not rushed either.

Yes, that's exactly how it is. How things are revealed slowly but steadily, and how the story isn't just carried in the action, but the intense, fighting scenes are balanced out by the quiet, more tranquil scenes.

What's series? O.o
What type of thing is it? Actual novel, graphic novel...? And can it be found online or in most book stores? xD

Aw. Great pic! Although I don't know exactly what it's about since I haven't read this manga yet. But I'm a fan of Naoki Urasawa's mangas, so I probably will.

Thank you! I'm not familiar with Urasawa's other works, but I know that Pluto is definitely worth reading. It's not so long either, so you don't get the sense of it dragging on like some manga do. Things happen when they need to, and it finishes when it needs to. Go read it! xD

I totally recommend Monster and 20th century boys if you have time. They are long, though (Monster has like 160+ chapters and 20CB has over 260 in total). Pluto has only 65 chapters, I'll definitely read it. 8D

Pluto's a really good manga. I'm sure it's a lot deeper than I think it is, because I read it all in one sitting in a bookstore, but even that hurried reading made me realize a lot of things about life.
