I like the colour of the background in this one, adds a bit more interest that the "blue sky" shots I think.Enjoy!

I have to agree that the land background gives the shot a lot more flavor than the stereotypical blue skies. *smiles* Very crisp photo.

Thank you very much. I shot this with a Canon 1D Mk2 and a 300mm 2.8 lens with a 1.4x teleconverter as 300mm was too short for these birds. I was using a Manfrotto 393 (Bogen 3241) head on a tripod which really helped with smoothly tracking the birds.

Where possible I like to have the composition so that there is some space for the subject to move into, I think it looks better that way.
