The color is meant for the heat. You see, white is the color that most repels heat, and seeing as how you are in front of a stove all day, a heat repelling color is a must. You get your front stained, but that is why you can button it two ways, to hide the stains in front of visit or customers. =3

LOL Okay. The sleeves are tied up so that if water or a hot liquid spill, they burn you as least as possible. The coat is double coated in fabric with a special slightly flame resistant fabric. This way, if you catch fire, it will take much longer to reach your skin, so you can take if off with more time than a regular shirt.
