"State your business, Patchstar." The young FireClan leader mewed, her voice even, though Patchstar could tell the small patrol's tensions were running high. The apprentices paced behind the warriors uneasily; Dawncloud's fur was bristling already.

Patchstar, standing next to Stormfeather, called out across the clearing. "My warriors have found a group of rogues in our territory, and we currently have them captive in our camp." The tortoiseshell could see the deputy, Rainfeather, whisper in Kindlestar's ear. "Any strange scents you may have smelled could belong to them. I just wanted you to know that I have them in my custody." Patchstar continued, ignoring the nervous glances from the FireClan cats.

"How many cats are there?" Dawncloud yowled out, receiving a harsh glance from Rainfeather. Kindlestar ignored his outburst and looked to Patchstar for an answer. The MoonClan leader turned to look at Flowerstep, Bluewing, Fawnpaw and Mudpaw behind her. "About 25 or so, Patchstar." Bluewing mewed, and Flowerstep nodded.
