I think this piece is very nice. It's nicely sharp and crisp, and as opposed to those who commented, I like the slight desaturation. (Although I may be slightly biased, as I tend to lean to slight desturation in my work as well, but I digress.)

I like the big picture of this - the crumbling walls (which don't look homey) contrast the flowers (which bring about a more domestic feel). I think you did a great job with this photo, and I'm definitely adding it to my favorites.

It's a nice picture, but a little too crowded. The colors are all around the same... "shade range", I guess I'd call it, so it needs more contrast. I dunno... Right now it just seems kind of hectic, with the bricks, the vases, the plants (which seem to be different kinds) and crumbling bits of wall. Try focusing on one thing, maybe. The purple flowers are in a sort of golden section, so you could use a photomanipulation program to make the whole thing black and white except for that one bit of color, and maybe raise the contrast.. I'm not a photographer, though, so I don't know if that would work out, but it's all I could come up with.

Thank you so much for your detailed comment, if only I could get much more of those. A lot of people apparently like this pic but believe that something is missing. I'm trying to pin point it myself. I guess its back to the editing board for me on this one

In my opinion, I would have oversaturated to bring out the vibrancy of the brick and flowers, as opposed to bring it down. I love the composition though! The vases and the darkness of the doorway really bring me in.

i actually tested that our, then felt that the picture was not as interesting. So what I did is desaturated to get a warmer feeling.. Thanks a lot for your comment, I should test it out again!
