Here's a spaceman character that I drew while in college. Done in Adobe Illustrator using a pencil sketch as a template.He's supposed to be a Flash Gordon/Adam Strange type, but I never really came up with a decent name for him (aside from Doug).

Now I like this design. Very classic Pulp square jawed, big bodied, jet packed fantasy!
The design jumps off the page, the use of solid colours on such a blocky, chunky body is very dramatic.
You ever written any of Spaceman's adventures?

I haven't really come up with any stories for him yet even though I designed the character over 4 years ago.
He's actually one and the same with my Stump character, just from centuries earlier and in a completely different solar system (Stump's adventures are set in a small town on Earth).
I've always felt that this is one of my most successful pieces using this style (which is very labor-intensive and time consuming), so thank you for the compliments!
