ive done it. im a furry now. no regrets.

STYLE CHANGE!!!! i was growing really discontent of my old style, and decided that if i were to enjoy making art, i would need to change my style. a video of crowneprince rly inspired me (the levels of art video?). the cute-sy style made me feel like i couldnt improve much, and it made me dislike drawing! hence, here's a pretty major style change. the body and fur stays the same mostly, but the face is a whole lot different. i also changed up the line thickness, but ill probably switch between thinner and thicker lines
soo after seeing everyone with their fursonas, i finally decided to make one!! shes not really a fursona though, more of a mascot. i like to think that we're polar opposites, but that her personality includes traits that are hidden deep inside of me.

personality: calypso is a very sly character, often referred to as the siren of the sky. growing up independently, she's had to learn to adapt to her surroundings and use them to her advantage. this makes her highly manipulative, and lacking of morals. she wont hesitate to hurt anyone getting in her way, emotionally or physically. moreover, she can be perceived as highly vain. a good portion of her day is spent observing herself in the mirror, scrutinising her reflection and finding ways to improve it. this isn't for no reason, however. her good looks, charm and flirtatious nature make it easy to lure people in and manipulate their thoughts and actions to her liking. she isn't all bad, though. once allied with her, she proves to be loyal to the fault, following orders patiently and believing in the person's decisions. she's a highly fun-loving individual, always finding ways to go onto her next adventure.

brief history: (possibly triggering, mentions suicide and murder) - i might start a writing series about her story, actually. it will be much more detailed but i think it could be fun
- born into a large family under the name of Fiona
- parents died of consumption, she became a homeless orphan
- lived on the streets, fighting her way through life and trying to survive. she takes on the name calypso, meaning "to deceive"
- her brother came to her begging her for shelter and food, she refused as she didnt have enough for them both
- her brother's corpse shows up at her doorstep. he was murdered by the king for stealing apples
- calypso grows dismayed, life becoming more and more undesirable by the minute
- at 18, she attempts suicide by knife. she is successful, and is left to die in a narrow ally
- she is discovered by a vampire-cat named eden who feeds on her, reviving her body and turning her into a vampire
- calypso wakes up with fangs and a thirst for blood. she receives a vision of eden, and seeks out to find her
- calypso rediscovered the corpse of her brother, draining his blood and storing it into bottles so that she wouldnt have to kill anyone
- travels around europe, finally finding eden in 1876, disguising herself as a nurse in the serbian-ottoman war. she inquires her about vampirism, and eden provides her with answers.
- eden and calypso grow closer and closer, and after a few years of travelling through europe become girlfriends
- they set out to find a way for vampires to feed on anything other than human (or i guess in this world cat??) blood. they both dislike it, seeing as how innocent people have to get hurt
- in 1912, they return to serbia only to find it's apart of the first balkan war
- not knowing that the serbian military knew about vampires, they both volunteer to be nurses in order to gather blood from corpses
- eden's identity is revealed after a general finds her losing control and feasting on a ottoman soldier
- eden is taken away, leaving calypso alone and depressed
- calypso is determined to find her girlfriend, searching all over europe. after meeting with a group of rogue vampires, she learns that vampires taken by the military are often experimented on, but not killed. that particular group managed to escape, leaving calypso hopeful
- now in bulgaria, she learns that the captured vampires are often transported around the world. her first spot was the US.
- world war I begins just in time for her to arrive to the US. slowly and slowly murdering her way through the military in hopes of finding eden, a US general reveals some interesting information to her. vampires that are experimented on are slowly being turned human
- calypso still searches around the world for her girlfriend, travelling from france to japan, to indonesia, to spain to brazil- but to no avail. she is slowly starting to lose hope.
- suddenly, eden appears to calypso in a dream. she tells her that she's being hold captive in a dark cell, experimented on and tortured
- she regains hope, again starting to look for eden. after a few years, she decides to take a break
- through the 20th century she partied throughout the us, causing mayhem and trouble wherever she went.
- an accident in 1955 caused her to lose control, her vampire side overtaking her human side
- she grew to be known as the silent terror throughout new york
- around 1980, she regained control and began to search for eden again
- a vampire named selena shows up at her doorstep. calypso is in shock as she thought her sister was long dead. turns out, she was turned as well.
- the vampire introduces herself as calypso's sister, and attacks her in order to get revenge for their brother
- calypso defends herself, but selene leaves a moon mark on her thigh
- news of the existence of werewolves spreads throughout the vampire community. vampires create a town in 1989 order to keep a close eye on werewolve.s the town is located in georgia, and is named kingsport (no offense to anyone actually living there! its a fictional backstory lol)
- after murdering the town mayor, calypso becomes ruler of the town. she orders vampires to work on freeing all captive vampires.
- a few vampires captured by serbia around 1910 are brought back to calypso. she is ecstatic, but did not find eden
- she interrogates the vampires, learning that they knew of eden and that she was taken away from them at around 1950. the vampires start living in kingsport
- she continues to rule kingsport, still searching for eden. she made a few friends, as well.

TRIVIA TIME! + drawing tips
- her natural hair is an ombreish blonde, you can draw her with it! in fact, she dyes her hair every year or so, so you can draw her with any color of hair
- she loves to scare people. she just,, loves being in control
- eve if shes a vamp, she can still eat normal food!!! her fav is sushi and frosted cupcakes.
- she just,,, rly loves the night sky. she can spend a few hours just staring at it
- has really sharp teeth!! her front claws are also always out, and theyre also very sharp and thin. needle-like, almost.
- if drawing her, please, please remember. she has rly curly fur and hair!! also her hair/ hair tuft is rly shiny
- the lil crown on her head has thorns around it, it kind of floats above her. it appeared there after she became ruler of kingsport
