How do you make such gorgeous things? Seriously, glowy stuff andΒ arrgh, it's amazing. How do you get the glow effect to look s nice?

bbbh ;w; i mean maybe i'll make a tutorial on this stuff eventually hehe, but the key is to keep a darker color on the outside and have it lighten as you go in! so i did the two colors, added a saturated version of the same color and set it to overlay on a separate layer, and adjusted the opacity..! (maybe i should just make a tutorial hghksjfg;; )

So this is Luzerna, right?Β I like how you set up the color scheme with shades of blue and purple in the background that go with the color shading.Β The diffuse light sources all around give a suspended, floating, cheerful aspect to the picture.Β It's nice to see the contrast between the usual associations of Dark types with the happy mood of Luzerna in this picture.Β I like the cel approach for the highlighting in this picture, as those line strokes help to indicate some of the texture for the fur and illustrate how it flows- especially in the mane-like area.
...i really like mightyenas (even if the species' base stats are not so mighty).Β I have a female Mightyena named Senka (shadow) whom I think I've mentioned to you before.Β

Also, I really like the way you colored this! 8U Did you use Photoshop or SAI or something else? Theres something about the shading that just looks so crisp and pretty and IIIIII LIKE IT. (and is that a texture or a filter? it is niiceee)

i believe i brought it into photoshop afterwards to adjust the colors to a cooler palette and make the blue thingies more glowy! and the shading was done in sai, just switching back and forth between the flat color and the shadow and making it look clean. it took way too long wah ;v;
