Jin is a high strung character that is prone to making rash decisions based on emotions, then regretting his choices later. He hides behind a veil of anger to keep others from notices how truly nervous, scared, and insecure he really is. Jin strives to prove himself to others based on the lack of praise he received in his adolescence and will push to gain the approval of others while acting like it doesn't matter. Like most people he just desires human interaction and companionship, he simply doesn't know how to go about it.

As a friend he is loyal to a fault, standing by others even when they are obviously in the wrong. Can be needy in a strange quiet way, getting upset when others choose to pay more attention to others than himself. However he can always be relied on to help you through anything you might need. Tough times or sunny. Although he seems to be very aggressive when you first meet him, his true colors are easy to find, feeling bad after being mean to others. His empathetic nature has him often reflecting the emotions of others, including when only watching shows. Crying when someone on the screen cries, or laughing with them.

His most redeeming quality is simply how earnest he really is. Jin takes pride in the works that matter to him, and he truly does want to do best upon his clubs, friends, and schoolwork. Even though he doesn't know the best way to do so, his actions are heartfelt and raw.

/history

[ reason for joining ] To learn from other athletes. As well as time away from home. Maybe even to make some new friends...
[ what they can contribute ] Muscles, determination, cute fish gifs, Insight on sports, and honesty.
Recent year; This year is Jin-Hai's first year in both Hong Kong, this school, and the club. With their father's new job the family was uprooted from their home in Shanghai to now live in Hong Kong. Previously Jin was already not doing so well in school, especially the core academics which only served to lose him his right to do after school athletics. Although Jin-Hai isn't very happy to have to leave his old friends, he is happy to have a fresh new start. Pledging to himself to try and keep up with academics this year and even to go as far as having a friend tutor him. Accepting any reason not to have to return home, where tension is high and family relationships are tough. Between school, study, and the club, there isn't a lot of extra time left for Jin-Hai, but when he does have an extra moment to spare, he prefers spending it at aquariums and the beach. Although he'd like to deny it, he just might actually like it here.

Past years; Born to a family of business life has always been one of high expectations. Both father and Step mother busy people, Jin spent his youth with nannies, teachers, and the lobbies outside of his parent's meetings. He wasn't the brightest of stars either, which made the strenuous studies all the more frustrating for the youth, and to top it off, his baby sister outshone him in every way. Life felt stacked against him, he failed his studies, and decided getting into trouble was a better use of his time. Parties, theft, fights, and more all leading to him being the embarrassment of the family name. There was even one year he was held back in hopes he could be given more time to "catch up" with his peers, only adding to his frustrations at life. Sure his father claimed that moving to Hong Kong was for business but he'd taken flights all about daily, why move now? He figured it was to get him away from his bad influences to try again. His little sister certainly blames him for the move anyways.
