Stainless steel and rough diamond.i did this last night around 11:30. the photo doesn't do the rough diamond justice. for a rough diamond, it's got a nice sparkle.

it is so beautiful, I love the simplicity in your work. It looks so simple to make, but the little I tried working in metal and silver I know it is really hard!
Do you find it hard to shoot pictures of your work?
I always have problems when I'm taking pictures of my furniture...

thanks. it can be tough to work with, but that's part of why i love it.
actually, the only pictures that i can shoot are of my jewelry (though the last couple i've kinda rushed). i tried photography a while ago and realized i don't have an eye for it. i think that i like the photos i take of my work because i know how i want them to be seen better than if i had a real photographer do it.
i can understand your situation. photos of my work can show more detail than you would see if you held it in your hand, where as your work would be difficult to show all the craftsmanship and detail unless you shot the piece a section at a time.....or had a lifesize photo made.
but sometimes you can just tell when something is beautiful.

Something about the little bit of rough diamond glimmering through the hole in the smooth steel really gets me... it makes me want to look at it again.

Wow the rough diamond works really well, refreshing to see it considering a lot of people mainly work with clean cut. I love the simplicity of it, almost reminds me of a cabin porthole on a cruise ship

thanks. i've done a few pieces using rough diamond. i like the idea of it. i named the photo "rough port" because it reminds me of a porthole, too. i just didn't bother to put it as the title. good insight!
and, yes, i do a lot of custom work. what do you have in mind??
