Wow, I really like this. Pretty much everything about it is seriously great.
I do wish it had a slightly higher quality render, I think. There's a bit of jagged aliasing on the fine lines. UF's built-in aa isn't too great so I usually render about four times larger than my final resolution, but with anti-aliasing completely off, and then size down using photoshop's "bicubic sharper" method. Almost always results in sharp details and smooth lines. A fractal like this definitely deserves to be shown off with the highest image quality possible, I think.

Thank you very much for your comment.
I can totally see what you are saying, and I thank you very much for the rendering tips. I also tend to also get carried away with the sharpening filter as well, which probably doesn't help at alll. Β I may try to improve this image some other time.
Hoping to getΒ Photoshop soon so I can try out your methods sometime, sounds interesting. I've never heard of it before and I don't think it is an option for GIMP but I might look into that as well maybe there is a way to replicate it with that app. Thanks again for the input it is very appreciated!Β

Unfortunately, GIMP's image resizing is really not that good in my opinion.
I thought I spied some sharpening here... There's nothing necessarily wrong with that but yes, it definitely does have some cons when it comes to aliasing.
