Since the comic is primarily a sympathetic spin on Scar's story and his arguable madness, on the cover I wanted to capture him seeming dark but vulnerable. I liked the idea of a Lion King comic where we don't see the sunlit front of Pride Rock surrounded by animals, but one lone lion, hidden away in shadows at the back of it, disregarded by others, but leaning out and looking at the lands; hesitantly, fearfully, but somewhat hopefully, in a dark echo of true lion kings ascending Pride Rock for their first time.

I'm sorry haha. It's a really dull ending though so you're not missing much. I must draw it. If it helps at all, I'm planning on re-drawing the entire comic in my current style (like Malka and Ahadi). I can't decide whether to finish the comic in its current style, or start overhauling it and make people wait til it's remastered!

Ahah print it out XD The quality is far too low, it'd come out tiny. And it would cost a fortune to print the colour on decent paper! Nice idea though. I've printed some of my art out on photo paper before to put on my walls.

This looks amazing, I love that's it's not bright and stuffed with characters (like some of the real Lion King covers), the subtle effect of a single character in low light shows so much more emotion, in my opinion. Really great job, the sky is incredible and the rocks have a really nice texture.

Originally I wasn't even going to include Scar, I was going for so subtle, but at the last minute I thought he might just complete the picture, and I'm glad I went with that.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to get any kind of feedback, but just saying 'This is pretty' doesn't mean near as much as when someone puts thought into why they like the picture.
