I heard it was originally worse, but Itoi thought it was too scary, so he toned it down. I wonder what the original was like...?

Wow, I love it! I actually loved Tanetane Island, as mean as it may sound. But not because of Lucas' suffering, but because it kinda gave you a feel for how he felt. It brought the player a little closer to him. And, I like being scared in a game. And Tanetane Island really creeped me out...

but seriously this part is very dark but its one of my favorite and most hated part in the game.It's so dark but a little funny as well in my opinion.

That part of the game = nightmare fuel.
Tanetane Island was both my favorite part of the game and my least favorite. Favorite because in the Let's Play I watched, the player adopts a high pitched drunk voice. Hilarity at its finest, for such a messed up part of the game.
