Personally, I prefer it as a one-note Creepypasta; the series seems a bit MUCH for me. But I respect your opinion and I think we can all agree the Skin-Taker's the best part of it

I can see what you mean with "Tales of the Laughingstock" which is probably the weakest of the series But I think day of dead was really good, but everyone is going to have they're own personal favorite creepypasta. I also think "The Showers" is an underrated classic but it does come down to each they're own

I know BTW Is it weird that I love the Skin-Taker's "character" so much I've given him his own 'crew', besides Horace? Kind of like how Davy Jones had Maccus, Wheelback, Jelly, Clanker, Hadras, Penrod, Koleniko, Angler, etc., I gave S.T. Splinter-Spine, Tin-Toy Tom, Springer, Whirlpool, Flotsam, Hank McAnchorShank, Plunder and Booty (Twins), Keelhaul Kevin, etc. I know that sounds like a bad fanfic, but I just thought I'd have some fun with it ://)

How about you, have you ever gone independent with Candle Cove?Β

A lot of the candle cove stories (and other creepypastas) get expanded by the fan base, I think day of dead was written by fan of the original story and I consider that to be a great tale.

I can't say I've ever done my own my spin or add to candle cove or any other creepy pastas other fan art. I think's it's because I'm usually self conscious of If I do anything. But If I think I had a good enough idea and after running the premise by a few friends who also think it's good I'd go for it.

I can tell

Wait..... If I said I don't like the spin-off stuff of Candle Cove, and I just admitted I made a bunch of fan-made, spin-off characters...... AM I A HYPOCRITE?????

Actually I think I like the less obviously stitched look you used. Nothing wrong with patchwork, but for a villain like this you need something a bit more elegant (read: cool) than patchwork.

Thanks, I went for that style of stitching becauseΒ I felt itΒ looked more threatening like he tore the skin the skin away.

Yeah I think I exaggerated a bit to much there (was trying to go for a lich's fingers)

Oh and the cravat. Nice addition.

You know Candle Cove has the elements to actually be a genuinely good TV show. I'd suggest animation instead of puppets like in Straub's version, mostly because that's smoother, and a removal of typical creepypasta elements (the screaming episode, overly drawn out sequences of the villains, and so on). Once you do that you could have a good adventure-fantasy series with a dark tone. Like a mix of Chronicles of Narnia and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Maybe I'd think stop motion could work too (if done correctly).
Day of the Dead has a lot of potential in being a good horror short if you filmed the psychiatrist obscured by shadow

"Are you ready kids?" Yes captain!

"I can't hear you!" YES CAPTAIN!

"Excellent. Now come closer, kids. A little closer. Close enough to give me your skins"

The above written is not even remotely related, but nevermind. This drawing is still awesome.

Thanks

I think the kids would scream and run away before he could even say "Are you ready Kids?" lol x)
