It's day 30 of posting everyday challenge, we're at a full month and I'm quite excited. I'm sharing a request for a fancy duck I've received a while ago. Thank you for the support !

If you wish to recreate I suggest:
• using a thin paper that isn't high quality if you're a beginner
• art is about practice and making mistakes so don't be afraid of throwing out a few papers
• using a pencil that's on the harder side like most commonly used HB and using softer ones for details like B2
• references help understand how an object (in this case animal) presents itself, maintains balance etc.
• a duck's bill is typically broad and somewhat flattened to function as a more efficient food scoop or strainer, though there is great variation in bill shape and size among ducks.
• ducks have a compact body that is efficient for streamlined swimming and preserving body heat when immersed in water. Their legs are typically set far back on their body, which makes them ungainly on land but gives them more power when swimming and diving.
• there are more than 100 species of ducks in the world, and many of them are uniquely specialised for different habitats, climates, and diets.
