I really don't get the problem of 'too realistic'...it's beautiful in both realism and the artistic way. There's absolutely nothing to complain about! (aw duh~ those things with 'too this too that' is stupid sometimes =o

The colors look much too muted/soft to me for it to be mistaken as realistic, imo. There are a lot of submissions on dA that I have to bring up in full size and take a good look at to be sure they're not photos.
Was her referring to the composition? That you produced her as she is, rather than adding your own stylistic touch to her appearance?
In any case, you're awesome. Keep at it and maybe I'll see your prints in the local art galleries someday.

Not really referring to the composition (which has a lot of space to improve anyway). Looking at this piece now, I could have added a few more artistic touches to make it even more painterly without sacrificing the realistic finish, hm. Will certainly work hard to improve, thank you so much for your feedback!
