norinoko — Healer of The Sea

Description I don't know what to call it so I called it the sea-healer. Its design is based on seaweed. It uses the powers of the sun to heal/revitalize wounded sea-creatures and clears the waters around it. Sometimes it will uproot itself to drift with the current and find a new place to take root. Small fishes and the like take refuge in its 'hair'. Once in a few years it will release its seeds while it is drifting but only a few ever germinate.

This was submitted for The Star/WWF-Malaysia manga drawing competition (without the background) but it did not make it into the top 5. Oh well.

My second time using copic markers. The background is done with Photoshop CS2.
