That's a gel that makes this really awesome texture when you run your hands over it.

The girl in this picture is Alice from the movie "Alice in Wonderland." My dad and I used to watch it together. She is disintegrating as her drugs take over her life, but she denies the existance of the addiction. The pill bottles hanging from her wings represent her slavery to her need, and how it weighs her down, giving only the illusion of freedom while stealing her ability to take flight.

I broke down in tears involuntarily halfway reciting the paragraph in front of the class.

Talk about awesome.

Done with acrylic and texture paints. (Heavy Gel and Sand)
The string is taken from a blanket my dad gave my mother before he died. (I'm creepy, people.)
