Art-trade withIt seems that I have never drawn Silverspoon. But she is nice! Hope we will know something new about her in next episodes.

There's something truly soothing about the color gray. Being a neutral color, it encompasses the mixture of both white and black, giving it a sort of balance. Some would call it dull; I call it brilliance.
Overcast skies, shady mountains, steel-colored water — I love these sort of things. They're calm, collected, and still. Not bright and energetic, but neither dark and gloomy. It just . . . is.
This piece makes use of gray so well, and which other pony best presents the color gray than Silver Spoon? This adorable filly looks like she's having a sweet bit of relaxation. The mountains surrounding her village, the skies casting a shadow upon the field, the cool motion of the water as she dips her little hoof in.
The values (lights and darks) compliment the details beautifully. The whole piece gives the impression of a mostly cloudy day with just a few stripes of visible blue, and its a day I'd want to live and see. Look at the detail on that grass; even the lightest blades have some form of shade to it. The river is gorgeous with its combination of blue and gray tones. The silhouette of the windmill in the background (and what I assume is the roof of a house and chimney) give a sense of space which isn't distracting but a fine little detail.
Then there's Silver Spoon, our main subject in fine composition. Beautiful job on the values of her fur, mane, and tail. The bright violets of her eyes, hair tie, and heart in her cutie mark really stand out like magical energy.
Overall, a very lovely work of art. Wonderful job on the color gray.

The title "Still Waters" is a memorable phrase from this Psalm:
"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters..."
The picture was just so peaceful and pretty and having that title it made those lines pop into my head.

Очень круто. Мне нравится эта атмосфера. Что-то вроде ранней осени, когда начинают дуть холодные ветра, по небу медленно плывут облака, а солнце понемногу тускнеет, становится холоднее... По крайней мере это чувствую я. Эта особая атмосфера очень подходит Сильвер, учитывая ее характер. Мне определенно нравится этот рисунок.
