If I had a nickel for every time I had a merfolk/ocean-related drawing ready for May, while also completely forgetting about "Mermay"... I would have 2 nickles, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right? Anyway-

This is a drawing for a private RP story that I am currently working on~ As the title suggests, it illustrates the first encounter between our two protagonists:
- Remi, the pirate lady, who belongs to me, NotPoisonousIvy
&
- Lirifin, the merman, who belongs to my lovely RP partner, Lady Tinfoil, aka Tin

I had a lot of fun playing with my staple “dramatic light/shadow situation” in this piece, too, even if it isn't super accurate. All in all, though, I'm really happy with how this drawing turned out and excited to see where this story will lead us
