Description MAN, I wish I could come up with a better title than that, since this my third retro-themed pinup. Well., I'm quite tired. For whatever reason, I got the drive to just keep working on this, lateness of the hour be damned. But whatever adrenaline rush was keeping awake is rapidly depleting now that I'm finished, so I better make this quick.

This is normally where I mention what made me think to go the direction I did here, but, I can't say for sure WHAT brought it on this time. Other than I just like old pinup art, I love how cute and coquettish it is, and I wanted to do another one. It's fun to draw the girls, it's fun to do the poses. It's fun to do the older hairstyles. It's LOADS of fun to do the setting. Doing the old rotary phone and AM radio and plastering photos of 50s teen heartthrobs on the wall was all fun.

I don't think I've ever paired purple and green like this before. It has an interesting contrast I think. I'm not sure how often I'd use it, but it fits here. I was looking up some photos of bedrooms from that time period and saw a lot of contrasting colors, so I decided to go with something like that myself.

But, I just love how this one came out. I think she's super cute, and has that teasing kind of sexiness. It definitely fits the style I was trying for.

I see you placed her recently-removed skirt right next to her. That just adds to the sexiness.

I think so too-- it's why I did it.

Although I can't put my finger on WHY that adds sex appeal.

I think you explained the reason pretty well in your NES Girl picture: It makes it easier to picture the girl taking her clothes off, which may or may not be the sexiest thing a girl can do.

As for the title, a few ideas popped into my mind upon first seeing this work. The first was more literal: "Night Call," and the second more gimmicky: "1950s Sock (and Undie) Hop," and the third rather plain: "Nifty Fifties."

Damn sexy. Love the little laces on her panties, I wish they would have been bigger and sexier too.

I'm surprised you even noticed at this resolution. The drawings I put on my gallery are 1/3 scale their working copies. I drew the damn thing, but at this size even I can't tell it apart from a normal seam.

You either have a really sharp eye or you zoomed in on it like crazy. ^_^

I zoomed in of course, many people also draw the panty laces not always big though. Some of them draw lines instead.

But so far, I prefer bigger laces instead. The more obvious it is the better, right?
