Description Holoptychius sp., a widespread genus of porolepiform lobe-fin fish. Big fresh water predator of the Late Devonian time.

Yeh I remember you saying somewhere the museum exhibits didn't want backgrounds. I was just saying I use the background to light and having no background would drive me mad coz i wouldn't know what to do with the lights, and was wondering how you coped

Aside from selling them to obsessed Western scientists, the locals in the Mascarenes consider coelacanths to be utterly useless beyond using the scales to file down bicycle tires prior to repairing a puncture.
