I had such high hopes for this. Really I did. I'm not so sure what went wrong. It serves it's purpose, I guess.There is a contest going on in #Real-Armored-Women and I wanted to throw my entry and support their way. They are outspokenly anti-metal bikini passing as armor and I believe that's worth my time and energy. I've spent too many hours in full plate to think otherwise.
Anyway ...
Some of you may remember Garderna Mizay, the 12th Haza of Isep. I've featured the calligrapher in her here before:
A few people asked after her special leg armor, so I wanted to show you what it looks like. This is the medium-range set. Brand new. A gift from Sha-Eris to celebrate her promotion. I'm not going to get into the mechanics of it. I'd be here all night. Let's just say she walks a lot easier with them than she does without them.
The Isepans have an open policy about armor. Each soldier is responsible for their own if they want something other than the state issue suits. They just have to conform to material and color guidelines and display proper rank. Armor has come to be an expression of the individual soldier within a united force. A woman who showed up in a metal bikini would be sent home or escorted to the nearest brothel for reassignment (as she is clearly too mentally damaged to be an actual warrior or of any use). There is nothing wrong with looking good in your armor, though. Just make sure it's actually protecting the vital bits.

Congrats on the win! I think this was aces.You can almost hear the explosions. And Haza leaping through the chaos ready to do some damage with that cool weapon of hers just adds to the tension.
And that bit about the metal bikini made me laugh!

Amen for real armour! I do love the background here... how the yellow and white really lights up the bottom right of the page. And the dynamism, and the glow - I don't think it's gone wrong at all!

Yay for sensible armor! I never quite got the bikini type... the only sense out of it was the posible pluses in flexibility... and even then it's not quite right...

Love the fire-energy glaive (at least glaive like xD). Really nice design and seems quite powerful 
Pffft metal bikinis xD I excuse it ONLY in classic barbarian Conan styled drawing because EVERYONE was wearing skimpy clothes on those - men or women alike xD

After seeing the "armored babe" DWIV Cyborg Warrior Blah Blah Blah in today's DDs (which I think should be marked with a mature tag, but whatever), this comes as *quite* the breath of fresh air in women's fictional armor design. As you've shown here, armor can still have form without compromising function. Well done!

Small question. What's that little thing on her forehead? A crown ridge? Jewelry? I like it ^^ The armor is amazing too but I always enjoy how people can still make unique humanoid sci fi races. Kind of like the Asari in Mass Effect. Still human face but with tentacles. I can already tell she's a good fighter since she isn't bothering to cut her long hair. Just "I can still fight you and not worry about getting caught in anything."

The "V" mark on there is a tattoo. It's a beauty thing for their people. That mark in particular is not so common, but it really works well on her big forehead. It's also tradition for the women to grow their hair out their whole lives. Most of the women wear it up in really complicated ways. She just leaved her's down ... and trims it so she doesn't step on it, which makes her weird.
Ah, the Asari. I love how they look! I'm actually teaching myself how to make races that are less human looking.
