LOOK WHO'S BACK. So after a lot of consideration and my prolonged inactivity in Space Garden, I've decided to take Daliat over to the newer group to try a new spin on the poor leaf. Who is still very crispy and burnt. I'm separating her from any space garden canon, so her backstory is a tad different now where she was still amongst a nomadic space ship but she travelled with researchers instead. Not sure if I'm gonna keep these colors, it seemed like the group had a pretty theme of colors so I figured Dal could join in on it.

History: Daliat comes from her native planet EDEN, a plant-based world where the organic life lives much like the Earth plants do and the Edenate find all life on the planet valued and treated with respect. She grew up orphaned, and she went out to live with some distant relatives on their farm where she took up her interests in studying the biology of plants and gardening. She didn’t attend school, so often times she would go out and do field research on her own time making herself familiar with the land.

In her early adulthood she came to work aboard a nomadic space ship in search of knowledge and researching the universe’s flora. It was an expedition team, many joined for science, others joined for wealth as most explorers do. She met a lot of great folks who she grew close to in no time. One particular alien she could easily call her best friend. They were inseparable, they gave her confidence and sparked inspiration in her love of exploring and discovering new flora.

Then there came a day during a particular expedition the team came across a rare chasm of geodes that sold for millions on some planets, but it rested beneath an endangered colony of a particular species of animal that had to be preserved in their natural habitat. A few members didn't like this, including Daliat's friend, but they didn't fight it. Later that week, however, the lead member of the expedition went missing without a trace after a solo scouting. They searched for days with no luck, and finally had to assume the worst and leave the planet empty handed.

Daliat thought nothing of it, it had probably just been an accident, but others were heartbroken. That was until her friend started acting rather shifty and she easily took notice. She tried to brush it off, but eventually things got weird, and she had to dig into things herself. Through a secret investigation, she discovered several of the rare geodes amidst her friend's belongings, and now held a very hefty secret and she didn't know what to do. Rat them out and risk losing her best friend? Or pretend she didn't know? Was she just over thinking things?

Eventually guilt of the secrecy started to fester and her friend was beginning to take notice after the Edenate started to more actively avoid them and acted rather distant. Eventually she confessed to knowing what she did to her friend, asking for the truth. They confessed, but the atmosphere shifted quickly when she was openly threatened to keep her mouth shut.

Knowing their secret was now festering, they started taking more control of Daliat's day-to-day duties and life. They purposely had her avoid head members of the crew, emotionally manipulated her into believing nobody would believe her and she should just drop it. It was becoming apparent Daliat had to do something, despite how afraid she was to do so.

The crew had arrived on a lush planet, one similar to Eden with vast forests, and they had arrived in the middle of dry season. Daliat had plans to finally fess up to the crew about what she knew. But her friend was onto her, and they knew what they had to do. A natural incident ignited a fire that spread through the forest, particularly the area Daliat and her small team were currently searching. When things took a turn for the worst, Daliat did her best to get her team out, but she was promptly trapped beneath a fallen tree amidst the flames, and her friend left her for dead.

Before Venus got a hold of her, the Edenate's leaves were severely damaged and burnt and she had to be treated accordingly upon arrival.

Strengths: Dal is very agile and quick, and prefers to use brain over brawn. She is also a problem solver, and her only real ‘weapon’ she uses in disagreements is her trusty gardening hoe. She's smart when it comes to dealing with business and transactions, and makes sure she is on top of things. If she isn't she will stress over it.

Weaknesses and faults: Very susceptible to fire, and has a rather heightened paranoia of fire. If she sees fire, or even feels an immense heat, she will attempt to leave the premise as fast as she can. If she cannot, she will panic. She’s also rather weak, and in a hand-to-hand fight against a larger, stronger opponent, she may fall short. Cannot go without sunlight for long periods of time (a week or so), will grow weak and potentially die if cut off for too long.

Personality: Though she is often times chill and collected to herself, she can be quite nice and respectful to new people she meets trying not to be quick to judge. In fact she usually gets to know the person before retracting on whether she likes them or not (only on rare occasions will she jump to conclusions). She has a very low tolerance level for those who don’t take their work seriously or understand simple directions. She is willing to stand up for what is right, or in defense of a friend or innocent person. She’s intelligent, and does her work to the best of her ability and does her best to respect superiors and those she finds respectable.

-Blooms flowers in spring, leaves change color very slightly in different seasons (more green hues during spring/summer, reds and browns fall/winter. This may fluctuate living in space and she would probably retain her reddish color more often.)
-Walks around shirtless and in boxers when not out (No nips or breasts, so nothing really to hide for public decency. Edenate wear clothes only out of custom for the most part.)

RP sample: Daliat stared up at the ship before her, it wasn’t just large, it was massive. She had been accustomed to space craft in books and photos, but she had never determined nor imagined just how large of scale these ships could be physically sitting before her. The Edenate glanced around at other crew members re-boarding the ship, shifting their eyes on the short newbie. She took a deep breath, taking one look back at the lush green surroundings, soaking in the last of her home’s sweet sunlight, and adjusted the large bag slung over her shoulder with what belongings she had. She stepped aboard the ramp that ran steeply to the ship’s entrance, ready to enter this new chapter in her life.
