Description
In the spirit of staying in the swing of things I thought I'd jump back into the Alumni and do a piece to keep myself busy with things. I'm currently awaiting a potential job offer so I didn't want to pick up anything major, but I've found I've been stagnating quite a bit artistically. So to remedy this I thought I'd take advantage of this weeks theme: an RPG pony, and do a homage to two great things: Fluttershy and Final Fantasy.

I imagine this is a crossover and even a character design that's been done before, but there's something about the idea of a white cloaked healer that meshed well with Fluttershy's personality that I just needed to see realized. I also experimented a bit with both handdrawn lines (as opposed to pen tool lines) as well as a soft brush/hard brush combination for shadows. I'm pretty happy with the result. Basically this was just a quick piece cobbled together for cobbled togethers sake though.

I'm seriously considering doing the rest of the mane six like this though. I can't say I'm a huge Final Fantasy player, but I'm sure considering the span of the games there's at least one class for all of the six. At least Black Mage Twilight is something we can all agree on...right?
