And yes, they`re rodents. Had them as pets in the 70s. Great pets and I will say much better than mice. (sorry to the folks who love mice as pets). The babies are hilarious to watch. My gerbils had a number of litters and yes, I was able to find good homes for all of them.

Exactly. I had them when I was a child and yes, I had a breeding pair. Lots of fun.
And angelicpoet09, they are a member of the rodent family so yes, they would look like a mouse. Only cuter and they don`t pee anywhere near as much as a mouse being desert animals.
