This is awesome! I love the Alice theme - with the rabbit and all the beautiful adornments. I love the hands of that watch - very cool. Also, the crystal seems to have a magnifying property (more than most watches I've seen) that makes it look even more interesting. Beautiful piece!!

In a tangent from subject matter, I've always wondered why pocket watches usually display the number 4 as IIII instead of IV - I thought that was the standard for Roman Numerals... Huh. Anyway, I love it!!

Thank you so much, they're lovely little pocket watch balls that I make into necklaces.
Also I never noticed that about the IIII....now that's going to bother me until I find out the mystery haha.
Thank you for checking it out and the lovely comment

You are very welcome! And, if you do happen to uncover the mystery, I'm dying to know the secret...

I'm still looking into this every now and then, but I have noticed that a few clocks do have the proper roman numeral for 4, and others don't.....maybe a typo? lol

Lol that is a thought... Yup I always pay attention to every clock 4 I come across. I have seen IV, but by far IIII is used more often - especially in old watches. Anyhow, thanks for the update. I haven't been on dA in a while, but I am still plagued with the mystery of IV/IIII.

Hmm. Well, it seems other people have wondered about this too - since as wikipedia offers a few theories on the subject: [link]

I like the Louis XIV theory.
