I think this was done in photoshop. It's been so long that I don't recall the canvas size anymore. XD;

The crow is a representation of what's lost to her. Normally she'd follow the crow with her eye (she only had one good eye to begin with), but now she's turned in the opposite direction because she only heard where it came from, and is wondering what passed so close to her. Her hearing is excellent though, so she gets out of the way fast enough. I put in the crow to emphasize that while she's dealing with her disability, she's no longer able to grasp many opportunities because of it.

Both good guesses! In the group RP, the plan is for the school she's in to be burned down, and she loses her eyesight in her right eye (her only working eye cause the other one's already blind) for using a spell that she hasn't practiced. She'll get it back eventually though. XD; So now she's just checking out the ruins. Her ears are very good so she can still use echolocation to get around.
