Raven and Terra from Teen Titans, for 's "odd couple" contest. It seemed appropriately odd.Despite a few comments I received suggesting to leave BB out, I couldn't help but keep him. >>; I just like BB too much to exclude him. X3 *pets poor BB*
Anyhow. I used a really quick colouring/shading style because I've been racing against the clock to finish this; my laptop only has 30 minutes left of battery, and it's no longer accepting its charger. Once the battery's dead, it'll be dead for anywhere from a few days to a few months (Dell's repair service is NOT reliable. last time my lappy busted it took em three months to fix it, and it's still not working properly because of their bad installation of my new motherboard. fuck them.), and I really wanted to finish this in time for the contest. x___X; In addition, this means that you won't be seeing anything new from me for awhile, since my laptop will be...dead...and my computer doesn't have photoshop. Grrr.
Okay. I'll stop bitching about how EVIL AND UNRELIABLE Dell is now. *cough* >_____>;

Well small differences do make for a better couple large differences such as being a complete introvert and a complete extrovert usually results in a bad couple I've seen it myself hundreds of times also in the comics Raven specifically said during a fight that happened after solstice showed up that their relationship had made beast boy weaker

Original comic book Terra, yes. The *second* comic book Terra was a much more benevolent soul, and wanted nothing more romantically form life than to jump Gar's bones....but alas he could never allow it....and now she too is dead, killed by Black Adam. *sniff*

"Terra II" WAS the original Terra, only she refused to acknowledge it (and the animated series did something similar with "Things Change" when they brought Terra back), and THAT is the reason why Gar didn't trust her.

Originally she wasn't, until some editors screwed it up post Zero Hour, and even then she had no memory of that life and did not want to be that person. And Gar *did* trust her as a team mate, just not as....anything more.

She went to the grave, found it empty, screamed in horror, went to Geo-Force for the test, he told her it was negative (when it fact it was positive). She went away not knowing she really was. I was reading the comics at the time, you see.

Heh, I know that article by heart; I even provided a link to it earlier in this discussion. But I went to check it to see if they had changed it. Here is what it says, copy/pasted for you;
"Curious about the Time Trapper's message, Terra visited the first Terra's graveside soon after, only to find an empty coffin! Could this new Terra actually be the original, traitorous Titan? Was her origin in Chaos' false future a complete and utter sham? What was the Time Trapper about to reveal concerning her past? These questions have plagued this second Tara Markov, and she was unsure if she even wanted to discover the true answers.
Shortly after this, the Titans group disbanded. Following that, Terra II took up residence in Markovia, the homeland of Terra I.
What On Earth Is the Truth?
While staying in Markovia, Terra II had the Markovian scientists conduct a D.N.A. test to discover, beyond a shadow of a doubt, if she was the original Terra. Terra II was frightened at the prospect that she could be this psychopathic traitor. Her brother Geo-Force received the test results. He mercifully told Terra that the results are negative, when they were, in fact, postive. At the present time, Geo-Force is the only one aware of this information.
Soon after, Gar Logan's obnoxious cousin Matt took it upon himself to hold a membership drive party for an all-new Titans West. Gar finally agreed to have the team re-form, and Titans West was re-dubbed Titans L.A. - with members that included Beast Boy, Flamebird, Herald, Bumblebee, Terra, Hero Cruz, Captain Marvel Jr. and Bushido.
But Titans LA was short-lived; Eventually, the new West Coast group of Titans dissolved before it even truly began.
Rock Out
With the murders of Black Adam's innocent wife, Isis, and her brother, Osiris, The Black Marvel Family was destroyed. Seeking vengeance for those responsible, Black Adam cut a swath of destruction across the globe, igniting a world war.
In an attempt to stop Black Adam, Beast Boy and his rag-tag Titans team fought valiantly to contain his rampage.
