Shy, but incredibly beautiful. Reminds me of Mila Kunis actually. I love the eye-shadow around the eye, which you drew absolutely perfectly. Truth be told, I kind of like the "peek a bangs" look on an attractive woman with long, dark hair, so that's another plus. I also love the choice of blue for her hooded attire, as a cool color goes well with her tanned skin and dark hair and eye. Well done overall.Β

Hey hey!
I am coming from ProjectComment and neeeed to comment on this one!
First of all: I really really really love portraits. I know how hard it is to draw people realistic and recognizable. I've googled the model and I can kinda recognize her so far - so: great job! I don't know if just the pose/model is a reference or if the colouring is a reference too. But I really like the colours you've used. The violet background separate itself from the blue cloth but it fits together. I saw it often that people use the same colour, but just in different saturation levels or brightness value. The colour of her skin is realistic and is a great contrast to the "cold" background. The texture of her skin is realistic too and the hair looks so good! (I am jealous, I am not good at colouring hair xD).
But nooow some points that you can do better: Some anatomic things doesn't seem to be correct. Like the position of her nose looks too much turned. So it seems like she has a huuuge nose and her mouth is too much ahead. (Wow, sorry, my english seems to suck today ...) I also think that the inner corner of her eye has to be more dark and/or her eyeball have to be a bit darker on the lower side. Her eye pops out because of this. But to be honest, I noticed it after the fifth look, so hey! Great job!
Her lips are beautiful. Just like her iris. Especially her Iris looks really realistic and detailed. Nothing to criticize here!
You did a fantastic job here. Keep it up!!

Thank you so much! Means a lot to me that you've taken the time to analyze and comment!Β

I truly love portraits to and I try to put all of my love and care into them, but of course there's still always room for improvement Β

Hair is much easier to draw when you just show like a section of it, I've also trouble doing a full head of hair, it's typically one of the more complicated, natural shapes you can find ^^' This tutorial helped me to get a bit on the wayΒ www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fbRQc…

It's not a perfect tutorial, but if you've got photoshop it also helps with learning how to create a fitting ph-brush and that helped me a lot!

Your work is very beautiful aesthetically and visually as well. Haven't seen the real photoshoot but this one is really terrific. Use of Earth and cool colours together can be either rewarding or spoiling, but your treatment of colours are complimenting beautifully. I really like the blurred background which is providing correct focus for the subject.
Deepika's hair have been shaded perfect but the drape is somehow needs be more soft in colour treatment, it is looking a bit cartoonish, maybe you can use smudge or blur to soften it. While the face is so expressive, the drape has no movement. It is very still without any flow.
The lips are looking really natural which is impressive, so are the eyes and nose. But the cheek area is a bit flat and hard just like the drape. Add some depthness to the cheek area by using shading directions tecnique. Like if instead of flat lines you use the brush in more curved or circular direction, it will bring out the cheeks softness and depthness. The portion where the jawline is mainly where you can work a bit more. The neck area where there are more shadows can be blended more, without blending it looks cartoonish. Maybe you can use gradient like effect there to improve.
Overall, your work is really appreciable. Keep creating.

You can decrease the opacity of brush for ease. I often do when there is fear of mistakes.

I usually do that too, but might have to decrease opacity even more ^^' Usually have it around 70 when trying to blend. Might have to do more with me not being very adapt at values so it easily gets a bit "choppy" ^^ Just have to keep practicing I guess

Yes practice is actually the key of perfection. Sometimes you may zoom in upto 400-800 % and use the gradient good as well or even better is to use the air brushing tool with less opacity. It helps...

Wowie, looks awesome
You are making huge jumps in your works
Her eye indeed is gorgeous I love the texture of her lips and skin!
So silky!
Also I like how you manage to get this balance between photorealistic and painting.
Not to far in the 'needs to be realistic' looking because the strokes are there and they are done with love.
Still it feels like I am watching a real person, lively, not a flat painting
